DÖRR LED RING LIGHT DRL-232
The ultra-bright DÖRR LED ring light DRL-232 with stepless brightness control is perfectly suited to optimally illuminate macro and close-up shots. The ring light is simply attached to the filter thread of the lens. The ring-shaped arrangement of the LEDs around the lens ensures shadow-free illumination of the subject.
A total of 232 LEDs provide sufficient light output for all types of subjects in the close-up and macro range such as jewellery, watches, crystals, plants, insects and other small animals. The DRL-232 can also be used to illuminate portraits or for photos in dental medicine and medical technology or for materials testing.
For a natural colour rendering the colour temperature of the LEDs is matched to daylight. The extra-large designed lighting area provides a pleasantly soft light. With the dimmer you may variably adjust the brightness to any subject. For more three-dimensional impressions with shadows from the side, the ring light can also be used detached from camera and positioned to the side or above the lens. With the ¼“ tripod socket and the supplied panhead, it can be mounted on any table or photo tripod.
The ring light can be attached to the filter thread of your lens using one of the 7 supplied adapter rings (each 1x Ø 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77 mm). Therefore the ring light works with system cameras, DSLR cameras, bridge cameras and camcorders.
The DRL-232 LED ring light is operated with optional AA batteries via the supplied battery box. For more intensive use, we recommend using an optional NP-F battery which offers higher capacity for longer operation time, it is rechargeable and thus more environmentally friendly. Batteries and rechargeable batteries are optionally available from DÖRR.
The control unit of the ring light can either be slid into the hot shoe of your camera or mounted on a tripod using the incorporated ¼” tripod mount (tripods optionally available from DÖRR).
This light source is especially designed for photographic and cinematic purposes and is not suitable for permanent room lighting.
