DELTA 30 - Reflector Telescope

The DÖRR Delta 30 is the ideal reflector telescope for ambitious amateur astronomers as well as beginners who are interested in astrophotography.

Due to its shortened design, it is a so-called catadioptric reflector telescope. Thanks to the built-in mirror and the additional doubling lens the Delta 30 still provides a large focal length of 1000 mm. With a lens aperture of 114 mm, the Delta 30 telescope is much more powerful than a refractor telescope in a similar price range. With the two supplied eyepieces and the 2-times Barlow lens, you can achieve magnifications from 50-times up to a maximum of 200-times.

The EQ2 equatorial mount, also called parallactic mount, consists of 2 axes: the pole or hour axis (right ascension) and the declination axis for setting the coordinates of the object being observed. The mount is also equipped with flexible tracking shafts for fine adjustment of the two axes. A counterweight on the declination axis balances the telescope.

With the motor drive 9 V for EQ-2 mount, the hour axis (right ascension) is automatically tracked according to the rotation of the earth. This ensures that the targeted celestial object remains in your field of view in the eyepiece. Especially for photographers who are enthusiastic about astrophotography, the possibility of continuous and even tracking is absolutely necessary. Due to the continuous tracking, e.g. significantly longer exposures can be realised while ensuring that the object of interest does not leave the field of view.

For comfortable observations, the height of the aluminium tripod can be adjusted according your demands. During your observations, your telescope stands stable and vibration-free on the tripod. The triangular plate not only provides more stability, but also serves as a storage area.

Before actually observing, use the finder scope to easily locate and target the celestial bodies.

Plössl eyepieces form a lens system consisting of two almost symmetrical achromatic doublets. Own field of view between 40° and 50°.

With the supplied achromatic Barlow lens 2x you double the magnification factor of the eyepieces. It can be used as a photo adapter also. In connection with a T2 adapter (optionally available from DÖRR), you can connect your SLR or system camera to the telescope.

If you want to use the telescope for terrestrial observations (earth observations), use the supplied erecting lens. This ensures that the upside-down image, which is typical for astronomical observations, is rotated by 180 °.
